Tragic Discovery in Hoover Home
HOOVER, Ala. — A well-known Alabama sports broadcaster and her husband were found dead inside their residence Tuesday morning in what law enforcement officials are describing as a suspected murder-suicide. The couple’s 3-year-old child was located unharmed at the scene and is now in the care of relatives as authorities continue their investigation.
Hoover Police were alerted shortly after 9 a.m. when a family member arrived at the home in the 700 block of Highland Manor Court and found both adults unresponsive. Both victims suffered fatal injuries consistent with a gunshot, according to early statements from investigators. There is no indication of a threat to the wider public, police said.
