Authorities Search for Missing 13-Year-Old in Spring Hill

PRING HILL, Fla. – The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 13-year-old boy who disappeared earlier this week.

Garrett Dixon, 13, was last seen leaving his home on Sand Hill Avenue on Wednesday, October 1. He has not been seen since.

Dixon is described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing about 115 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, gray shorts, and black slides.

Deputies are urging anyone who may have seen Garrett, or who has information on his whereabouts, to contact the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office immediately at 352-754-6830.

Family, friends, and local authorities are sharing the alert widely on social media in hopes of bringing Garrett home safely.
