A heated dispute inside New York City’s Diamond District led to the arrest of a jewelry store owner after a confrontation between Trax NYC and AKAY Diamonds turned physical. Police confirmed that the owner of AKAY Diamonds was taken into custody after an altercation involving allegations of fraud, assault, and spitting.

Fraud Claims Spark Confrontation

According to the allegations, Trax NYC accused AKAY Diamonds of using his business name to deceive customers and sell lower-grade jewelry while charging premium prices. He also claimed that customers were scammed out of thousands of dollars through these alleged practices.

Seeking answers and repayment, Trax NYC reportedly went to the AKAY Diamonds store to address the issue directly and recover $22,000 he says is owed to him.

Altercation Leads to Arrest

What began as a confrontation quickly escalated into a physical fight between Trax NYC and representatives of the jewelry company. Authorities say the situation intensified, leading to an alleged assault and spitting incident inside the store.

Officers from the New York City Police Department responded to the scene and arrested the owner of AKAY Diamonds in connection with the incident.

Ongoing Fallout in the Diamond District

The arrest has drawn attention across Manhattan’s Diamond District, an area known for its high-value transactions and close-knit business community. The dispute has also raised fresh concerns about trust, branding misuse, and consumer protection within the luxury jewelry market.

The investigation remains ongoing, and further legal action could follow as authorities review the fraud allegations tied to the case.
