Airstrikes Hit Residential District in Tehran
A series of new airstrikes struck a residential neighborhood in Iran’s capital, Tehran, causing major damage to apartment buildings and surrounding homes. Emergency workers from the Iranian Red Crescent quickly moved into the area to assist residents and search for people trapped beneath the debris.
According to rescue teams, the explosions hit densely populated housing blocks, shaking nearby streets and leaving shattered windows and damaged structures. Videos released by relief workers showed volunteers pulling injured residents from collapsed sections of buildings while others searched the rubble for survivors.
The strikes come during a period of intense military activity in and around the Iranian capital, where multiple explosions have been reported in recent days.
Rescue Operations Underway After Explosion
Members of the Iranian Red Crescent and local volunteers rushed to the affected neighborhood shortly after the blasts were reported. Rescue workers were seen carrying injured residents on stretchers and providing first aid to those pulled from damaged apartments.
Footage from the scene showed rescue crews moving carefully through broken concrete and twisted metal as they attempted to locate anyone still trapped inside the destroyed structures. Some survivors were found in the rubble and transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the full extent of casualties, but emergency responders indicated that several residents were wounded during the attack.
Rising Tensions as Strikes Continue
The airstrikes are part of a wider escalation of military action across the region, with repeated attacks reported in and around Tehran in recent weeks. Residents in several districts have described loud explosions, damaged infrastructure, and disruptions to daily life as the conflict intensifies.
International observers warn that continued strikes on urban areas could worsen the humanitarian situation for civilians living in densely populated neighborhoods. Thousands of residents have already been affected by the ongoing hostilities as emergency services struggle to keep up with rescue and recovery operations.
For many people in Tehran, the latest attack has added to growing fears about safety and stability as the conflict shows little sign of easing.
