Tragedy in Northwest Chicago Neighborhood
A 39-year-old man was fatally shot inside a Belmont Cragin residence early Thursday morning, leaving the community shaken and police searching for answers. The incident occurred in the 5100 block of West Deming Place in Chicago’s Northwest Side around 4:35 a.m., when officers responded to reports of shots fired.
Emergency crews transported the victim to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Authorities have not released his identity.
