A large-scale crackdown on organized cargo theft in Southern California has led to the recovery of millions of dollars in stolen merchandise and the arrest of multiple suspects. Officials say the operation uncovered a complex network targeting major retail and logistics companies across the region.
🚔 Multi-County Operation Uncovers Massive Theft Network
Law enforcement agencies carried out a coordinated investigation across Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties, executing 13 search warrants between December 2025 and February 2026.
During the operation, detectives recovered approximately $7 million worth of stolen cargo along with nearly $1 million in cash. Authorities say the stolen goods were linked to shipments taken from at least 36 companies.
📦 Wide Range of Stolen Products Recovered
Officials reported that the seized items included a broad mix of high-value merchandise such as electronics, appliances, tools, clothing, and even recreational vehicles. Products ranged from televisions and sound systems to golf carts, ATVs, and branded goods.
Major global and retail brands were impacted, highlighting the scale of the operation and its reach across supply chains. Investigators believe the theft ring specifically targeted cargo shipments moving through key distribution routes in the region.
⚖️ Arrests and Charges Filed
Authorities confirmed that nine individuals have been arrested in connection with the case. The suspects are facing multiple charges, including grand theft cargo, money laundering, and possession of stolen property.
