A 14-Year-Old Faces Terrorism Charges in London
British counter-terrorism police have charged a 14-year-old boy in connection with an alleged plan to attack two mosques in south London. Investigators said the case is linked to suspected extreme right-wing ideology and has raised concerns within local communities.
The teenager, whose identity has not been released due to his age, was initially arrested during an investigation into criminal damage involving a vehicle. However, further police searches reportedly uncovered documents that prompted a terrorism investigation.
Investigation Expanded After Search
According to police, the boy has been charged with preparing acts of terrorism. Authorities allege the suspected plan involved two mosques located in the Sutton area of south London.
In addition to the terrorism offence, the teenager also faces a charge related to racially aggravated criminal damage connected to the earlier vehicle incident. He is expected to appear before a London court as legal proceedings begin.

Counter-terrorism officials described the case as extremely serious, particularly because of the suspect’s age. Police said they have been working closely with the affected mosques to provide security advice, updates, and reassurance to worshippers.
