49ers Owner Jed York Pleads No Contest to Misdemeanor Charges After Ohio Arrest pr0lgf1oylLr N3lNCWPXuXs4O9UYKYa8qwrgk8g9tbpc9HAskP6xZdRUsPTTFoZ vFPyHUVa 6d BVyl7vN2seI3uKj5WnNNlGeViYw28gs4TeS3ZDVFu4MUIhKmdh0T E73e5KxKMKeMO dkVZQ8EmtcrX66c3Hm6bCCFiIv9CQ4AwxMT

San Francisco 49ers owner and CEO Jed York was arrested in East Palestine, Ohio, over the weekend and later pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor charges, according to court records. The 46-year-old NFL executive was initially accused of engaging in prostitution before the charge was amended to disorderly conduct. He also faced a charge of possessing criminal tools.

York was arrested Sunday at the Wheat Hill Mobile Home Community following an operation involving East Palestine police and the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond and returned to court Monday, where he entered no-contest pleas.

York Receives Jail Credit and $1,150 Fine

As part of the case, York was sentenced to jail time covering both misdemeanor offenses, with the terms running concurrently. He received credit for time already served and was ordered to pay $1,150 in fines. Court records also indicate that he completed an online course as part of the resolution.

The court records state that York’s cellphone was returned to him, while $160 seized during the arrest was designated for the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force under the plea agreement. The possession-of-criminal-tools charge relates to an item allegedly used in connection with the underlying offense.

Initial Prostitution Allegation Was Amended

York was initially booked on suspicion of engaging in prostitution. Prosecutors later amended that allegation to disorderly conduct, and York entered a no-contest plea to the amended charge along with possessing criminal tools. A no-contest plea allows a case to be resolved without the defendant formally admitting guilt.

The arrest comes shortly before the 2026 NFL regular season, putting the incident in the spotlight as the 49ers prepare for their upcoming campaign. The NFL said it is aware of the matter and will review it under its personal conduct policy.

York’s Role With the 49ers

York has been a central figure in the 49ers’ organization for years. He assumed day-to-day control of the franchise in 2008 and became its principal owner in 2024 after acquiring additional equity from his family. Under his leadership, San Francisco has reached the Super Bowl three times, although the team has not won those appearances.

The 49ers said the legal matter has been resolved but declined to provide additional comment. The NFL’s review could determine whether the incident results in any further action under the league’s personal conduct policy.
