Manhattan, Kansas — In its daily summary of incidents, the Riley County Police Department detailed three notable events:
- At about 2:16 a.m. on Nov. 13, officers responded to a vehicle burglary near Bluemont Ave. and 11th Street. A 55-year-old man reported that various audio and electronic equipment was stolen. Estimated loss: approximately $12,000.
- At approximately 8:21 a.m. on Nov. 12, a 76-year-old woman reported personal belongings stolen from her hotel room in the 1600 block of Anderson Ave. The estimated loss: around $1,500.
- On Nov. 12 at about 4:45 p.m., a 33-year-old man from Manhattan, identified as Aric Thompson, was arrested in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road. He was wanted on a Junction City Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear and a Geary County District Court warrant for probation violation. He was issued a total bond of $11,000 and is no longer confined in the county jail.
