Two Men Charged in Brutal Murder of 16-Year-Old Marvin Alonzo-Alonzo
Authorities in Nashville have charged two men in connection with the violent death of 16-year-old Marvin Alonzo-Alonzo. Metro Nashville Police identified the suspects as Juan Carlos Hernandez-Lopez, 22, and Saul Lopez-Perez, 24, alleging that the pair acted together to kill the teenager.
The investigation began when officers responded to a report of a body found in a grassy area near the wood line on Paragon Mills Road. Upon arrival, first responders discovered Alonzo-Alonzo deceased, having suffered multiple stab wounds. Homicide detectives quickly launched an inquiry, gathering evidence that linked Hernandez-Lopez and Lopez-Perez to the crime scene. According to police reports, the suspects were acquaintances of the victim, and the fatal altercation reportedly stemmed from a dispute among the three individuals.
While law enforcement officials have presented a case suggesting a coordinated attack by the two adult suspects against the minor, the exact motive remains part of the ongoing investigation. The incident has raised questions regarding community safety and the nature of the relationship between the men and the teenage victim. Both suspects have been booked into the Davidson County Jail.
As the case moves to the judicial system, it is important to note that formal charges do not constitute a conviction. Legal representatives for Hernandez-Lopez and Lopez-Perez have not yet issued public statements regarding their defense. Both men retain the presumption of innocence until proven guilty in a court of law, where their defense teams will have the opportunity to challenge the evidence presented by the prosecution and address the specific circumstances surrounding the altercation.
