Las Vegas — Tragic Family Killings Shock Local Community

A 27-year-old Las Vegas man has been charged with two counts of murder with a deadly weapon after his parents were found fatally beaten in their home late last weekend. The suspect reportedly called emergency services and confessed to the crime while urging officers to “kill him on sight” because he saw himself as a danger to others.

911 Confession Reveals Disturbing Details

According to police reports, the suspect placed a call to dispatch just before midnight on December 27, telling the operator he had killed his parents and that he “couldn’t take it anymore.” Even though he initially failed to give a specific address, authorities traced the call to a neighborhood in east Las Vegas. Upon arrival, officers discovered both victims suffering from blunt force trauma, and despite medical intervention, both parents were later pronounced dead.

During the exchange with dispatchers, the suspect reportedly asked to be shot by responding officers, expressing extreme emotional distress. Police later found a small metal baseball bat with apparent blood evidence inside the residence.

Suspect Arrested and Held Without Bail

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police took the suspect into custody at the scene without incident. He has been booked into the county detention center on dual murder charges. Court documents confirm that he remains held without bail ahead of upcoming hearings.

Neighbors and community members described the victims as active and respected figures in local civic and faith groups, expressing deep sorrow and shock at the violent loss. Police officials have asked anyone with information to contact the homicide unit as the investigation continues.
