AUSTIN, Texas — A man in his 20s was hospitalized and two suspects detained after a shooting just after 1 a.m. Friday outside a nightclub in north Austin. The incident occurred in the parking lot of Rodeo Night Club, located at 9515 N. Lamar Blvd.

According to the Austin Police Department (APD), the shooting followed an altercation in front of the club. The man was rushed to a hospital with gunshot wounds. While officers initially described his condition as critical, they later confirmed he was in stable condition.

Two suspects were detained at the scene, and the case is being handled as an aggravated-assault investigation. APD says the investigation remains active as officers work to determine the circumstances leading to the shooting.

Community members and night-life patrons are being urged by police to come forward if they witnessed anything or have information that could help detectives.
