Dispute Over French Fries Leads to Fatal Shooting of Fort Worth Man
A disagreement over food has resulted in a murder charge in Fort Worth, Texas, where police allege a man fatally shot his friend because the victim refused to share his french fries. Trevion Tilley, 20, was arrested and charged with murder in connection with the death of 20-year-old Jashaun Rice following the incident at a residence on the city’s southeast side.
According to the arrest warrant affidavit, the altercation began after a food delivery order arrived at the home. Witnesses told investigators that Rice was eating at the kitchen table when Tilley attempted to take a fry. When Rice verbally refused to share, the situation escalated. Police state that Tilley subsequently retrieved a handgun and fired at Rice. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
