Missing Florida Man Found Dead During Investigation

A missing Florida man has been confirmed dead after investigators discovered his body buried in a shallow grave, prompting an ongoing manhunt for a woman accused of murder.

Authorities identified the victim as Jason Christopher Coulthart, 43, who was reported missing on May 24 after he was last seen leaving the College Condominiums on East College Boulevard in Niceville, Florida.

As detectives investigated his disappearance, evidence led them to a property on Sunset Lane in Freeport. After obtaining a search warrant, law enforcement officers uncovered human remains buried in a shallow grave. DNA testing later confirmed the remains belonged to Coulthart.

Police said the discovery has deeply affected the local community as investigators continue working to determine exactly what happened.

Woman Wanted on Murder Charge Remains at Large

Law enforcement agencies are actively searching for Isabelle Rose Johnson, 38, who has been charged with murder in connection with Coulthart’s death.

Investigators believe Johnson is intentionally avoiding capture and may be using multiple aliases, including Harley, Jessica Elaine Bowman, Jessica Elaine Thrush, Jessica Elaine Trash, and Jessica Dowdy. Officials say she has known ties to both Freeport, Florida, and Georgia.

Authorities have urged the public not to approach Johnson if she is seen. Instead, anyone with information about her whereabouts should immediately contact law enforcement.

Three People Charged as Investigation Continues

The investigation has already resulted in additional criminal charges against three individuals accused of helping the murder suspect or withholding information.

Martin Leaverton, 63, and Sandra Leaverton, 63, have each been charged with accessory after the fact to a capital felony. Bobbie Wagstaff, 31, also faces an accessory charge, along with a separate controlled substance charge.

Investigators believe more arrests could follow as the case develops.

Authorities have not yet released the victim’s official cause of death or disclosed a possible motive. They say the investigation remains active and are committed to holding everyone involved accountable.
