Wisconsin Court Hands Down Life Sentence in Child Homicide Case
A Wisconsin judge has sentenced 18-year-old Erik Mendoza to life in prison for the 2023 killing of 5-year-old Prince McCree in Milwaukee. Mendoza, who was 15 years old when the crime occurred, pleaded guilty earlier this year to first-degree intentional homicide, concealing a corpse, and several counts related to endangering others.
Under the sentence, he will not be able to seek release for 50 years.
