Iowa Couple Accused of Drugging Lasagna in Alleged Plot to Harm Pregnant Woman Y6HWMBWVHVAPPHF3XZGVRYUPSA

Authorities in Iowa have charged two individuals in a disturbing case involving a drug-laced meal allegedly intended to harm a pregnant woman. Investigators say the suspects prepared and delivered a lasagna containing a powerful narcotic, aiming to secretly induce a miscarriage without the victim’s knowledge.

Alleged Plan Involving Drug-Laced Food

According to law enforcement, the incident dates back to late December 2025, when the accused reportedly delivered a family-sized lasagna to a household where a pregnant woman resided. Officials allege the dish had been deliberately mixed with oxycodone, a strong opioid, as part of a calculated plan to terminate the pregnancy.

The pregnant woman was unaware of any tampering with the food. Authorities later confirmed through forensic testing that the meal did contain the controlled substance.

Investigation Uncovers Evidence

The case came to light in January after a tip-off raised suspicions about the lasagna. During the investigation, officials uncovered text messages and conversations suggesting the act had been planned in advance.

Reports also indicate that a minor who was present during the preparation and delivery of the dish objected to the plan. Evidence collected by investigators, including digital communications, has played a key role in building the case.

Multiple Charges Filed Against Suspects

Both suspects now face a range of serious charges, including delivering a controlled substance and attempting to terminate a pregnancy without consent. Additional counts related to administering harmful substances and child endangerment have also been filed.

They are currently being held in custody as the investigation continues. Authorities have not ruled out further arrests, and it remains unclear whether the victim consumed the tainted food or suffered any physical harm.
