Allegations Rock U.S. Conservative Group as Staffer Faces Sex-Harassment and Kidnapping Claims

Allegations Rock U.S. Conservative Group as Staffer Faces Sex-Harassment and Kidnapping Claims b3fa370de4c9ef37abfebf5dd4fd9947

A civil lawsuit filed in Arizona has shaken the once-staunch conservative youth organisation Turning Point USA (TPUSA), alleging that one of its staffers, Jeannette Garcia, sexually harassed a male employee and abducted his minor daughter after he rejected her advances. The complaint paints a disturbing picture of exploitation, manipulation and alleged collusion with law enforcement, raising serious questions over the group’s internal conduct and oversight.

Allegations of Sexual Advances and Job-for-Sex Proposition

According to the lawsuit filed in Maricopa County Superior Court, the male employee — identified only as “John Doe” — was supervised by Garcia and had been working for TPUSA to campaign for its preferred candidates. During a post-election celebration in November last year, held at a Phoenix-area restaurant, Garcia allegedly propositioned him, offering him a job with the organisation in exchange for sex.

The complaint states the man rejected the proposition and “repeatedly rebuffed” her advances.

Daughter Taken Without Consent — Lawsuit Details Kidnapping Claim

Disturbingly, the lawsuit goes further to claim that after the man left the event, he returned home to find his 14-year-old daughter missing.

He later learned from deputies of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office that the girl was with Garcia. The court filing alleges that Garcia — described as “extremely intoxicated” — along with two other adults, misled the teenager into getting into a car by falsely claiming her father might become violent because of drinking.

The girl was eventually returned the next day, after her grandmother called Garcia and arranged a meeting. The lawsuit contends that the daughter was taken without permission or consent, and accuses the deputies of being complicit in the removal. According to the father’s filing, the incident left the girl traumatised — depressed, afraid to leave her room, and struggling with schoolwork.

Response, Denial and Wider Context

Garcia has denied all allegations. In a statement she called the claims “outrageous and false,” insisting she “never kidnapped anyone, never harmed anyone, and never solicited anything inappropriate.” She indicated she may pursue legal action against those she said are spreading misinformation.

The lawsuit comes amid a backdrop of prior controversies surrounding Turning Point USA, which has faced earlier harassment and misconduct complaints involving staff and affiliates, even leading to internal censure by some local authorities.
